Our Commitment

Safety & screening

We turn people away. This is not a failure of our mission — it is the mission. The work is only sacred if it is safe.

Sacred healing ceremony preparation

“The most important ceremony we conduct is the screening conversation. Everything that follows depends on getting that right.”— Founder, The Singularity Church of the Toad and Breathwork

Non-Negotiable Boundaries

Absolute contraindications

The following conditions disqualify an applicant from ceremony regardless of circumstance. These are not judgment calls — they are safety requirements.

I

Active Psychosis or Schizophrenia Spectrum

Psychedelic medicines can amplify psychotic symptoms and destabilize those with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. This is a firm boundary with no exceptions.

II

Current MAOI Use

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) — including some antidepressants — create dangerous interactions with psilocybin and 5-MeO-DMT. You must be fully tapered off, with physician guidance, before applying.

III

Lithium

Lithium combined with psychedelics significantly increases seizure risk. This combination is contraindicated without exception.

IV

Severe Cardiovascular Conditions

Kambo in particular places significant stress on the cardiovascular system. Uncontrolled hypertension, recent cardiac events, or serious arrhythmias are disqualifying for Kambo ceremonies.

V

Pregnancy or Breastfeeding

We do not work with pregnant or breastfeeding individuals. The safety of these medicines during pregnancy has not been established.

VI

Active Suicidal Crisis

If you are in active suicidal crisis, ceremony is not the appropriate intervention. We will help connect you with immediate support resources.

Case-by-Case Evaluation

Relative contraindications

These conditions require careful evaluation but do not automatically disqualify an applicant. We assess each situation individually.

Antidepressants (SSRIs / SNRIs)

Some medications can affect the depth of the ceremonial experience. We evaluate this case by case and may ask you to consult with your prescribing physician.

Bipolar I Condition

Those with significant mood cycling require careful evaluation. We assess each situation individually and will be honest about whether we can safely hold space for you.

Recent Major Surgery or Illness

The body needs to be stable and recovered. We ask that you be at least 90 days post-surgery before applying.

Severe Liver or Kidney Conditions

Kambo is processed through the liver and kidneys. Compromised organ function requires clearance from your physician before proceeding.

Carrying Deep Unprocessed Pain

Ceremony can open doors rapidly. For those carrying very deep unresolved experiences, we may suggest preparatory work or a gentler entry point before the deeper sacraments.

How We Evaluate

The screening process

I

Written Application

You complete our detailed intake form covering your background, current situation, health history, and intention. This takes approximately 20–30 minutes.

II

Personal Conversation

A member of our team contacts you for a 30–45 minute conversation. This is not an interview — it is a mutual assessment. We want to understand your situation, and you should be evaluating whether we are the right fit for you.

III

Health Review (If Needed)

For applicants with complex health histories or medications, we may ask you to consult with your physician before we proceed. Your safety is the only consideration.

IV

Decision

We communicate our decision within 3–5 business days of your personal conversation. If we cannot proceed, we will tell you why and, where possible, suggest alternative resources.

The Full Arc

What to expect

Ceremony is not an event. It is a process that begins weeks before and continues long after.

Before

Pre-Ceremony Preparation

  • Dietary guidelines (specific to each ceremony) sent 2 weeks prior
  • Preparatory integration session with your facilitator
  • Set and setting guidance — how to prepare your mind and environment
  • Emergency contact and logistics coordination
  • Final health check-in 48 hours before ceremony
During

The Ceremony Itself

  • Small group or individual ceremony (never more than 6 participants)
  • Trained facilitator present throughout — never left alone
  • Monitoring equipment on site
  • Clear protocols for any adverse reactions
  • Sacred space held with intention and care
After

Integration Support

  • Integration session within 48–72 hours of ceremony
  • Weekly check-ins for the first month
  • Access to our integration support network
  • Referrals to licensed therapists trained in psychedelic integration
  • Ongoing community support for as long as you need it
The Work Continues

Integration is not optional.

The ceremony opens a door. The integration work is how you walk through it. Without integration, the insights from ceremony can fade, become confusing, or — in rare cases — become destabilizing. We take this seriously.

Every participant receives a minimum of three integration sessions: one within 72 hours of ceremony, one at two weeks, and one at one month. These are not optional add-ons. They are part of the ceremony.

For participants who need more support, we maintain relationships with licensed therapists trained in psychedelic integration and can provide referrals at no additional cost.
